National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics – OGS
The National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics – OGS is an Italian public research institution supervised by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), with its main headquarters in Friuli Venezia Giulia and a strong international profile.
OGS works in the fields of oceanography, geophysics, seismology, and earth and marine sciences. Its expertise supports the understanding of the oceans and the subsurface, and contributes to addressing key challenges such as climate change, impacts on marine ecosystem, multi natural hazards and risk prevention.
