Università degli Studi di Udine
UniUD

Founded in 1978, the University of Udine is a dynamic public university located in north-eastern Italy, at the crossroads of Europe. It is a place where tradition and innovation come together, offering students a stimulating environment to learn, grow and build their future within an international and welcoming academic community.

The University’s mission is guided by four core pillars: excellence in education, cutting-edge research and knowledge transfer, strong engagement with society and industry, and a deep commitment to internationalisation. These principles shape a vibrant campus culture focused on curiosity, collaboration and global outlook.

With more than 15,000 students and a steadily growing international community, the University fosters openness and exchange through study abroad opportunities, joint programmes and a global network of around 600 partner institutions. Students are supported by over 600 academic staff across eight departments, ensuring a multidisciplinary and high-quality learning experience.

Udine offers around 80-degree programmes in Economics and Law, Medicine, Science, Humanities and Education, alongside approximately 15 international double degree programmes developed with partner universities across Europe and the Americas. Academic excellence is complemented by the Scuola Superiore, a selective honours programme for outstanding students that promotes interdisciplinary training and academic excellence, as well as a wide range of Master’s, PhD programmes, executive and lifelong learning opportunities.

As part of the ACROSS European University alliance, the University of Udine actively contributes to building a European campus without borders, strengthening cross-border cooperation in education, research and innovation and expanding opportunities for international mobility and collaboration.
